A few ppl have reached out to ask who is running this social page, I would like to give you a brief introduction. Also who else still has one of these from their grom days?!

My name is Mary Harrington, I was raised in Newry in the 80s and 90s later purchasing a home near Songo pond in Albany twp with mu husband @alexgraves78 I have lived in this area for 40+ years now with the exception of a few years living in Portland maine during art college and a few spent exploring the lake Tahoe ski area.

I have spent the last few decades raising daughters here while being a ski bum mum,(Technically snowboard bum but that’s another post ) and occasionally getting to Alaska to extend the ski season for a few months in spring.

I have a small craft and design studio in my attic where I have made tiny batches of soap, deodorant, candles, lip balms and graphics for over a decade. @mountainess_handmade is found locally @goodfoodstorebethel, @a_longer_table_bethel, @thephilbrookplace, and @truenorthadventureware. In case you might have seen my work.

I have spent the past few decades waitressing evenings while working studio life around family life and making posts, posters and vending at our farmers market to help build our local food scene. I spend a lot of time in this area and wanted an outlet for our beautiful agriculture, hiking, smaller businesses, and the amazing community that surrounds and supports Sunday river to be connected to visitors. We have lots to offer here in terms of recreation and community in the Sunday River Area.

After over 40 years in this area there is so much I could say about it but want to keep this post brief and will continue to share more about the region in smaller posts or reels. Please reach out if you have any questions or suggestions, and I look forward to sharing more about the Sunday River area!
