Table Rock, in Grafton Notch State Park sits at roughly 900 feet of elevation gain above the valley floor in Newry, Maine, within the Mahoosuc Mountain Range. The trailhead is located just off Maine Route 26 at the Appalachian Trail parking area, across from the Old Speck/Eyebrow trailhead. The hike follows a portion of the Appalachian Trail northbound for 0.1 miles before splitting.

The steeper orange-blazed Table Rock Trail ascends about 1 mile to the summit ledge on the western flank of Baldpate Mountain. Terrain includes exposed bedrock, large boulders, iron rungs, and a talus cave the trail passes through. The summit is a broad, flat rock outcrop with sheer drop-offs on three sides, perched directly above Grafton Notch.
From Table Rock, you get unobstructed sightlines east to Old Speck Mountain (4,170 ft) across Route 26, south down the Bear River Valley, and north toward Baldpate Mountain’s East Peak. The descent route follows the blue-blazed Table Rock Trail and reconnects with the AT for a 2.1–2.4 mile loop through mixed northern hardwood forest
